A4:2026 · Published 15 April 2026

Built for the latest standard. From day one.

JobProof renders the A4:2026 form set: the seven-column Schedule of Inspections, the N/V outcome, Section 1.0 and Section 8.0.

Schedule

Seven-column Schedule of Inspections

Full A4:2026 layout with shared C1/C2 column, separate C3, FI, N/V, LIM, and N/A. Renders correctly on every EICR.

Outcome

N/V outcome — Not Verified

New explicit code in A4:2026 for sampling-based EICRs. A2:2022 had no equivalent. We support it natively.

Section 1.0

Intake equipment

New mandatory category in A4:2026 covering meter tails, isolators, and the consumer-side intake. Rendered on every A4:2026 schedule we generate.

Section 8.0

Prosumer installations

A4:2026 introduces low-voltage prosumer (PV, batteries, EV charge points) as a dedicated section. We render it as the standard prescribes.

Capabilities

Every tool the modern British engineer actually needs.

Built by a retired UK gas engineer — more than twenty years across plumbing, gas and electrical. No bloat, no subscriptions, no teaching an office tool to understand a consumer unit.

AI Vision Scanning

Point your phone at any consumer unit, boiler data plate, or appliance label. Our AI vision extracts every circuit, rating, make, model, and GC number in seconds — no typing.

You Verify Every Field

Every extracted circuit is presented for your review — you correct anything off before it touches the PDF, and a required-fields gate blocks generation while mandatory data is missing. You are the certifying engineer; the AI never signs anything.

Differentiator

QR-Verified Certificates

Every PDF carries a unique QR code. Landlords, letting agents, and local authorities scan it and see live authenticity confirmation on jobproof.uk/verify/<id>. Checked live against our verification record.

Pixel-Perfect PDFs

Typographically locked layouts engineered for clarity at A4 print and on-screen. Baseline-locked tables and faithful Ω / mΩ / MΩ symbol rendering.

Pay-As-You-Go

£1.50-£2.00 per gas document — the unsafe-situation notice is always free. £2.00 per electrical certificate. AI scans are optional and metered per appliance: £1.50 per board scan, £1.00 per gas appliance. No subscription — a quiet month costs nothing. No seat licences. £20 of credit covers ten electrical certificates or thirteen gas records, before optional scans.

Privacy by Design

UK GDPR by design. We do not retain copies of the certificates you issue — they belong to you and your customer. Engineer ID cards are used for your trade check. Your data is stored in the UK, processed in the UK and EEA, under UK GDPR.

Certificates Supported

Every document the British trades need — one engine.

Every document we generate today, from Gas Safe records and gas RAMS to BS 7671 electrical certificates — all priced per certificate, never per month.

The statutory landlord document under GSIUR 1998 Reg 36. Scan the appliance data plate. AI fills make, model, GC number, expiry, and full data-plate readout. Tightness test, combustion analysis, and safety checks recorded on the engineer's side.
£1.50 per certificate Gas
COMMISSIONING
Gas Commissioning Certificate
New and replacement gas work commissioned and recorded — appliance details, tightness testing and commissioning results in one signed certificate.
£1.50 per certificate Gas
GIC
Gas Installation Certificate
The installation record for new gas pipework and appliance installations — work categories, test results and the installing engineer's declaration.
£1.50 per certificate Gas
CGSR
Commercial Gas Safety Record
The non-domestic inspection record for commercial premises — appliance checks, outcomes and advisories, branded with your registration.
£2.00 per record Gas
RAMS
Gas Risk Assessment & Method Statement
One combined working document: hazards, persons affected, controls, the safe sequence of work and PPE — written for the site, signed by you.
£1.50 per document Gas
GWN
Gas Warning Notice
The unsafe-situation notice with ID / AR classification. Always free — safety paperwork is never paywalled, and an empty wallet can never block a danger notice.
Free every time Gas

Certificate prices shown are per document; AI plate and board scans are metered separately (£1.50 per electrical scan, £1.00 per gas appliance). Pricing is current at publication and subject to change — live wallet rates are visible in the app pricing dashboard. A landlord check with three appliances, for example, meters three plate scans (£3.00) plus the £1.50 certificate — £4.50 all-in.

How to join

One inbox. One code. Email verified.

Every engineer completes a trade check before issuing a certificate. Sign-up takes one inbox and one six-digit code. No phone-number copy-paste, no third-party messaging app required.

Trade check

Scan your trade card.

Your email is verified. Next: the trade. Photograph your registration card. Automated checks review it, with manual review when the automatic check cannot complete. If you hold both gas and electrical, scan both.

Electrical

NICEIC, NAPIT, BESCA, Blue Flame Certification, OFTEC, or any of the recognised competent-person schemes.

Unlocks EICR, EVCR, DVI, and Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate (MEIWC).

Gas

Gas Safe Register registration card.

Unlocks the full Gas Safe document set: CP12 Landlord Gas Safety Record, gas commissioning certificate, gas warning notice, gas installation certificate, Commercial Gas Safety Record, and gas risk assessment / method statement (RAMS).

Both trades

Scan both cards. Both trade checks run independently.

Full electrical and gas access on one account. No second login, no second wallet.

Your registration card photographs (front and back) are used for your trade check. Lawful basis under UK GDPR: legitimate interest in fraud prevention and professional accountability. We do not capture selfies.

Your data is stored in the UK, processed in the UK and EEA, under UK GDPR.

The Flow

Three steps. Seconds, not hours. Done.

Less time standing in a cold loft writing carbon copies. More time driving home.

1

Scan the board

Open the rear camera in the PWA. Frame the consumer unit or data plate. The app captures at full native resolution — no compression, no blur, no retakes.

2

Verify the AI

AI vision returns every circuit with positions, ratings and types. You review, correct anything off, add test readings from your MFT.

3

Generate & send

Sign on the glass. Hit generate. A typographically-pristine, QR-verified PDF downloads to your phone in seconds — yours to send to the customer through your usual channel before you have packed the Megger away.

The Horizon

Starting with sparks and gas.
Building out every UK trade.

JobProof is the first wedge. The engine beneath it — AI vision, PDF rendering, QR verification, wallet — is being extended to every certificate, every survey, every document a UK contractor ever hand-wrote on the bonnet of a van.

Common Questions

Everything you need to know, before you sign up.

How accurate is the AI on a real consumer unit?
A leading AI vision model sits behind the pipeline. Every extracted circuit passes your own review before it touches the PDF — you correct anything off. You are the final check on every field.
Is the certificate legally valid?
The PDFs mirror the IET Guidance Note 3 formats for EICR and MEIWC. Legal validity in the UK is a function of the engineer, not the software — the competent person signing the document is accountable. JobProof accelerates your workflow and provides an audit trail (QR verification, timestamps, signatures), but you remain the certifying engineer. Our declaration flow makes that clear at sign-up.
What happens to my customer's data?
We do not retain copies of the certificates you issue — they belong to you and your customer. The PDF downloads to your phone; you send it to the customer through your usual channel. The only data retained against an issued certificate is the minimal set required for QR-code authenticity verification: certificate ID, document type, the date it was generated, postcode area only (e.g. LS6, never the full address), outcome, engineer name and registration. Your data is stored in the UK, processed in the UK and EEA, under UK GDPR. Engineer ID card images (front and back) are used for your trade check.
Do I need to install anything?
No. JobProof is a Progressive Web App — open it in Safari or Chrome on your phone, tap "Add to Home Screen", and it behaves like a native app. No App Store queue, no 30% Apple tax, no approval delays when we ship an update. Works on iOS, Android, and desktop.
How does the QR verification actually work?
Every issued certificate is assigned a unique verification ID stored against its metadata in our database. The PDF carries a QR code that encodes jobproof.uk/verify/<id>. A landlord, letting agent, council inspector, or insurance assessor points any phone camera at the QR, the page loads, and they see: certificate type, the date it was generated, postcode area, outcome, engineer name, registration number, and an Authentic / Revoked status. No customer PII is shown — the privacy line is drawn exactly where UK GDPR expects it.
Can I cancel? Are there hidden fees?
There's nothing to cancel. The model is pay-as-you-go — a wallet balance you spend down, never a subscription. If you walk away for six months and come back, your balance is still there. No subscription trap, no per-seat pricing.
Why pay-as-you-go instead of a subscription?
There is no subscription — a quiet month costs you nothing. You pay per document, not per month: £1.50 for a Landlord Gas Safety Record, £2.00 for an electrical certificate. The intelligence is included in the certificate price; only the camera is metered — scans are optional and per appliance, £1.50 per board scan, £1.00 per gas appliance. Prefer to type? Add each appliance or circuit by hand and pay only the certificate price. £10 per verified referral.
Which trades is this for right now?
Launching with the full gas set (CP12, commissioning, installation certificate, Commercial Gas Safety Record, gas risk assessment & method statement, unsafe-situation notice — the notice always free) and electrical (EICR, MEIWC, EVCR, DVI). Commercial documents are Coming Soon, as are plumbing and heating, roofing and building, fire safety, surveys and inspections, and the Electric Jobs and Gas Jobs marketplaces. The underlying engine — AI vision, PDF generation, QR verification and wallet — is trade-agnostic. If it's a British document with a set of regulations behind it, it fits the engine.
What if the AI gets something wrong?
You review every extracted field before PDF generation. A required-fields gate blocks generation if mandatory data is missing or has been edited back to empty. You are the final check. The AI is a very fast, very literate pair of eyes — not a decision-maker.
What's new in A4:2026 and why does it matter?
BS 7671:2018+A4:2026 was published on 15 April 2026 and replaces A2:2022 from 15 October 2026. The substantive changes engineers will feel on the ground: the Schedule of Inspections has been restructured into a seven-column outcome layout (shared C1/C2, separate C3, FI, N/V, LIM, N/A) — A2:2022 used four columns. Two new mandatory categories appear: Section 1.0 for intake equipment (meter tails, isolators, the consumer-side intake) and Section 8.0 for low-voltage prosumer installations (PV, batteries, EV charge points). A new explicit N/V (Not Verified) outcome is introduced for sampling-based EICRs; A2:2022 had no equivalent. JobProof renders the A4:2026 forms: the seven-column Schedule, the N/V outcome, Section 1.0 and Section 8.0.
